About the Author

Ognjen Gajić is a clinician and researcher at Mayo Clinic and a former member of the band Zabranjeno Pušenje. He lives with his wife, Vladana, in Minnesota, with whom he shares a love of the Northwoods of Minnesota. In this poignant reflection on his life and career he shares insights on what matters most in war, exile, love, medicine, and life.
